The Crankshaws Are Here

Hello everyone!

This week has been really busy!! We got our new mission president this week!  They are really nice and I am so sad I only get 4 weeks with them.  I wish I could stay a little longer but I'm excited for them to be here.

Sister Ray and I had a neat experience this week.  We had a lesson scheduled with our friend Sinceri but when we got to her house we both felt unsettled. So we prayed and decided we needed to cancel the lesson and go back to our apartment to see what we needed to do.  When we got back we prayed and felt we should go tracting over by another friend's home so we  knocked doors for about 30 minutes and found a lady named Ney! She is really sweet and we are going back over tomorrow to teach her and her family!

Tuesday we had exchanges with some other sisters; I went with Sister Taylor! It was really fun and we were able to get to know each other better!
We have been able to do a lot of service this week which has been fun but so hot!!  It has been in the high 90's with anywhere from 80-90% humidity so working outside isn't the most fun but we enjoy getting out so it's worth the heat.

We got to have lots of lessons this week!! We taught our friend Veronica and she came to church with us this Sunday!  She is working hard to read the Book of Mormon.  We had asked her what she read and she said 2 Nephi 13 and when we looked to see what it was, it was Isaiah's prophesies about war. Sister Ray and I were not quite sure how to take that. When we asked what she learned she talked about Christ's baptism so we quickly realized she had read 2 Nephi 31, thank heavens!

We also met with Brother Parker. His heart has softened a lot since we last met with him and he is really interested in Joseph Smith's story.

Sinceri told us she wasn't interested in lessons when we met with her later in the week. Sadly, we had to hand her back to the Lord; we are hoping she will have her heart softened later!

Friday we got to meet the Crankshaws for MLC!!!  It was so fun!! They talked a lot about shaking the heavens with our prayers and the power of numbers in prayers.  It was really uplifting and we all felt the spirit very strong!
Sunday was a normal day, we didn't really see any fireworks because we had a meeting after 9pm but it was okay because we had fun talking to members and visiting people!

We made Rhubarb pie!! Which was really hard to find by the way
It poured! We were soaked in seconds so we changed into P-day clothes and ran around for our break
Sister Ray and I tied ourselves together
Us having dinner at 10:30pm because we didn't get the chance to earlier
We had venison burgers and salads for a celebration of my 18 month mark, Sister Ray's year mark, and the 4th of July!
Sister Ray made me crepes
Love you all! Later!
