Good morning everyone!!
This week has been fantastic like usual! Tuesday we got to go do service and when we got there, the lady in charge asked if it would be okay if she just showed us around the trails that we were supposed to help with. We said heck yes!!! and got to walk around on a trail for two hours! Best service evveerrr!!
We had quite a few of our friends cancel lessons for the week so that was a little sad but on the bright side we did get more time to find and found a few new people we are talking to over Facebook!
We did, however, get to meet with Philip! We taught him the Plan of Salvation and did an object lesson to help him understand! He really loves the object lessons so it has been fun to come up with different ideas to teach him about the gospel!
We also went to a park to meet one of our friends, Bekele. He had a really hard time finding the park so we were there for almost an hour before he got there. The wait wasn't too bad though because we got to swing, teeter totter, and get really dizzy on a spinny-thingy.
We found a friend on Facebook that some other elders were talking too, I mentioned him a little last week I believe. His name is El Vee. We have tried so so many times to get him to meet with us all but every time the elders are running a few minutes late he answers and promptly asks "Where are the guys?" Apparently we are not as fun as "the guys". Oh well, it's provided a lot of opportunity to get to know the elders and we have all become fast friends!
I told you last week how we had heart attacked a lady in our ward, Sister Ashley. We had another visit with her this week and she told us that a ton of people were asking about her door and wanted to know what religion she belonged too because of the hearts on her door!! She was so excited because she is the only member in the retirement home and has been looking for opportunities to share the gospel more!!
We got two referrals Thursday and actually got ahold of them!! There is like a 1 in 10 chance that you will actually get ahold of a referral so its really exciting when we do get in touch with them and about 60% of the time they have changed their minds about meeting with us but Charlie and Natalie are actually excited to meet with us this Tuesday in person!! They seem like a really sweet couple and we are excited to get to know them!!
We did a lot of service this week that was mostly bagging food for families to come get but it was still a lot of fun to organize and help put together! Also I got to hold a dog!!!!
It has also been raining a TON this week so we have had several opportunities to go dance in the rain which has been a blast! We have gotten a few strange looks from people pulling into the parking lot of our complex but we don't care! However the consequence of dancing barefoot in the rain has been blisters on our toes so that is not so fun. So worth it though! Also got to view some neat lightning too!
I think that's about it!
Love you all!
Sister Creager
