The Suite Life of Sister Boll and Sister Creager

Hello everyone! We have a special treat today!  We decided to write our weekly together so instead of hearing from one of us, you get to hear from both of us today!

Tuesday was a great day! We went out for a walk and discovered helicopter leaves!!! Those are non-existent where Sister Creager lives but reminded Sister Boll of her childhood! We had a great time throwing the leaves in the air and spinning!

Wednesday was not as good as we found mouse poop by our clothes. We deep cleaned our entire apartment (which really wasn't that messy) but we have found no trace of our friend mouse.

Sister Boll's ankle was sprained a while ago and has still been hurting her a little bit so we went and got a brace for it and now we are matching lefty's!  The drugstore was fun because we got to watch someone get kicked out.  It slightly awkward but oh well!
After that we had a miracle!!!! We went to go get dinner since we weren't going to make it home in time and we ran into a young man named Ray! We started up a conversation with him inside of Subway and we were originally going to ask for his number but then he asked for ours!  So we swapped numbers and set up a zoom lesson for Saturday! That was Sister Boll's first street contact and Sister Creager's first in a loonngg time!

We had a lesson with Garret on Wednesday as well and it was really good!  He had a lot of questions about predestination which tripped us up a little bit until we realized he wanted to know about premortal life.  This wasn't the lesson we planned to have but we were able to answer all of his questions and concerns about justice, mercy, agency, the spirit world and a few others!  It was an amazing lesson!!! AND he prayed using "Heavenly Father" instead of saying "God"!!

Thursday we did our first exchange!! Sister Boll: Exchanges went super well! I went over to Alexandria 1 with Sister Arnold.  Sister Arnold is over an old friend, Kaelani Baker's, YSA! It was great being able to talk to her for a little bit!!
Sister Creager: I got to do an exchange with Sister Bocanegra!  She is the sweetest and we had a really good time together! This is her first transfer in VA and she is the literal cutest!
Sister Boll got permission to drive for the first time in 8 months!!  It was only a little bit scary for Sister Creager ;) She did great!

Friday was the BEST!!!  About two weeks ago they told us we could start doing in person visits with friends and members again!!!!  Sister Boll got to knock her first door when we went to drop off something at a member's house!!  It was SO EXCITING!!!!!!

Saturday Elder White texted us and let us know that the friend we had on date about a month ago had passed away so that's why our companionships weren't having any luck in getting ahold of her.  It was really sad to hear about and we miss her a lot.

Exchanges round two!  Sister Creager: I got to go with Sister Lewis on Saturday to the Mount Vernon area and it was a lot of fun!! Sister Lewis came out with me and she has one more transfer before she goes home.  It's really weird to be so close to done.
Sister Boll: I was able to go with Sister Arnold again, staying in the Shirlington apartment.  It was great! We had a lesson with Ray but I was sad that Sister Creager couldn't be there. The lesson went really well except for the end, we asked him why he wanted to meet with us and he said "It's because one of y'all was really beautiful." That's flattering but unfortunately we are only interested in his eternal salvation! Soooo we might be passing him to elders.

We got to have our first in person lesson with Garrett on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  IT'S BEEN SO LONG! The lesson went pretty good other than he was so excited to have us over we had a hard time keeping the lesson on track. But that's what we'll be working on for next time!

Spiritual thought from Sister Creager:  I usually hate sharing my thoughts but I'm going to this time because I can and I want to. I think that one of the greatest lessons I've learned throughout my mission is what it means to literally take upon myself the name of Jesus Christ.  Sometimes I catch myself thinking "I can do *blank* as soon as I go home and take my name tag off.  How wrong that is. I took Christ's name and the responsibility of that when I was 8 yrs old.  Being a missionary has helped me think more about my thoughts, words, and actions every time I go to do something.  I love that wearing my name tag is helping me fully understand the weight and responsibility of the name I bear.  I hope to always be this aware of who I represent.

Spiritual thought from Sister Boll:  This week I was able to create a Facebook post for our Come Unto Christ page.  I was able to tie my talent in Ballet with faith in Jesus Christ.  In the video I talked about how partnering in Ballet is similar to partnering with Christ and how as we put all of our trust in Christ and His plan for us, He will bless our lives in ways that are beautiful.  Here is the video if you would like to watch it!
