Arlington House, Transfers, and Zone Conference!

Hello everyone!! After a few weeks of having nothing really happening, a TON has happened this week!

We had a mission-wide zoom call on Tuesday and they told us that missionaries can start getting the COVID vaccine this transfer!! This is really exciting for us because it means that we can probably start going out again in a month or two!! Going out as in we can go to people's homes-we won't be able to tract-but it will be so fun to be able to go teach in person again!!

We had a couple lessons with Deborah this week that have gone really well. She is receiving some strong opposition from her friend but she has felt the Holy Ghost and wants to keep meeting even if she loses her friend!! Take that Satan!

We tried doing Billion Graves as a service project and that didn't go so well.  Three of the graves that we tried to find were non existent and the fourth grave that we did find to take pictures of the headstones didn't have any names on it.  But it was still fun!
Wednesday we went to Arlington to do service but when we got there it was pouring rain. We were so sad because we wanted to work in the gardens! They felt bad we had driven out there (it's only like 5 minutes from our place so I don't know why they felt bad) so they gave us a tour of Arlington house!!  It's closed to the public right now so we literally got a private tour and it was awesome!!  We also got to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watch the changing of the guards!
Garrett's lessons this week have been SO GOOD!! He has been trying so hard to get an answer from God and this week he got one of his prayers answered!!!  It has changed his entire outlook on God and who He is.  He told us it's easier for him to see how God is a loving God now and his outlook on the Atonement has even changed. We are SO excited!!  We have been working really hard to help him get an answer that would change his perspective!

Thursday we had zone conference and that was incredible! It was entirely focused on the Book of Mormon and we learned so much! We also had interviews with our mission president and that was fun too.  So funny thing, we were combined with the Woodbridge Zone which was my first zone.  We went to the Woodbridge Stake Center for zone conference and I was so excited because it's located in my first area, Lake Ridge!! It was a lot of fun to drive around and see the places and houses I had tracted and been a year ago.
Sunday we were able to go and get our first shot for COVID! We are excited over the possibilities of going back out again!! It feels so close! We also found out that Sister Livingston is getting transferred today and I get a new companion, Sister Boll!!  I am so excited because I trained Sister Boll's trainer!  So technically, if I explain this in old teen jargon terms that we aren't supposed to use anymore, she is my grandchild.
Okay, here is my mini miracle for the week that proves God cares about the mundane things in your life!  In my family, it's tradition to bring home a license plate from wherever you have served.  I have been trying to find a VA license plate for the last 3 transfers (18 weeks).  I finally started praying for Heavenly Father to help me find one and a few weeks ago we were working at our service project and I felt prompted to ask the manager, Sonny, if he knew of where I could get one.  Fast forward to this week, he found one and gave it to me!!!!
Okay I felt guilty that I didn't take any pictures last week so I have an overload of pictures for you this week! Enjoy!!

I was explaining how to rope from off of a horse for Sister Livingston and she thought it would be fun to take a picture of me
I love you all and I will talk to you next week!!
