Jail Cell?

Hello all! So this week was much better, not even one rude person.

We never did catch Gadianton (our mouse friend) but we can still hear him occasionally.
We have had soooooooo many meetings this week and they have all been really long. One was 8 1/2 hours long. But they were spiritually uplifting. We had Elder Johnson of the seventy teaching us. It was fun. Another bright spot from the meetings is that I got to see Sister Paas, my MTC comp!! I loovvveee her. We aren't allowed to have any contact over technology but we found a way around it. We write notes then give them to each other when we see each other.
We have a part member family we are teaching, the Jacksons. Brother and Sister Jackson converted in 2015 but they have kids who aren't baptized that are getting baptized this Saturday!!  Brother Jackson wanted to baptize them so he's been working really hard to get the priesthood. He got it yesterday and came out of the bishop's office dancing a jig, he's 6'6 by the way so it was a fun thing to see.

We have more investigators that want to be baptized but they want to learn more first. They are such awesome people! They are the Blankenships. Derek and Sarah have a 3 yr old son Luke and a baby, Leonie. We had some new members move into the ward 2 weeks ago and in Sunday School they asked for volunteers to help move them in. Derek was the first one to have his hand up! And he actually went and helped and really enjoyed it. They love church and we hope to put them on date.
So we didn't actually go to jail, sorry. But the apartments here are sooo old and the railings look like cell bars so we decided to be weird and take a picture. But it was fun.
I have been missing horses so bad that we have been going to McDonald's to get happy meals because they have horse toys. Yes I am just a little desperate but do I care? Not really! I have acquired a small collection now. Yes they go everywhere with me.  But then we got to go to a real stable today and pet the horses!
We went to a door that had a mat that said the doorbell was broken, so to yell ding dong really loud. I was nominated to yell "Ding Dong", so I did.... chickens. But no one was there!

Mouse in the House

So this week we discovered a mouse in our bathroom vent. We weren't sure at first if it was a mouse or a rat because rats are pretty common here. So we pried off the cover and still have not caught the mouse who we named "Gadianton".

The week has gone by pretty fast. We met a ton of rude people which was kind of funny.

I learned what a high rise is. It is NOT a tall hill. It's a skyscraper. But they can't make fun of me too hard because people here don't know what a grain bin is, or roping! I haven't learned how to hide the shock on my face when they ask me what roping is. But it's okay I'll learn.

Being in a trio is pretty fun until the other two start arguing. Then it gets awkward. I'm learning how to be the peacemaker which is a new role for me. But my companions are both still awesome.

This week wasn't too exciting so later!

"Thank You For Helping Me Tell The Sisters What Pot Is"

Hello! Okay, I'll be honest. I didn't think I would miss the MTC and I was really anxious to leave. But I miss it! Not really the MTC itself, but my companions, teachers, and my district. But it's okay! It was awesome while I was there and I loved my district.

So I have two companions, Sister Pugmire, from Kaysville, UT, and Sister Ray, from Preston, ID. We are all blonde so that's kinda funny. They are super fun and really obedient which is great!
I am in Woodbridge, Virginia and its really green here. Kinda cold because of the wind but not too bad.
I have met people from Nigeria, England, Ethiopia, Africa, Pakistan, and more! There is a lot of diversity here which is cool.

So we are teaching a recent concert named Kayla, she is super sweet but she didn't understand that smoking weed is against the word of wisdom. We explained that to her and then asked her a few questions about weed that we didn't quite understand. She was very surprised to know that me and Sister Pugmire hadn't even smelled it until we came here. So she very thoroughly educated us on weed and then when she prayed, she said "Thank you for helping me teach the sisters about weed." So that was kinda funny.
We found a phone outside a townhouse and returned it to this really nice lady. She had a lot of questions for us about our church and then she got a booklet from her shelf that describes different religions in it. The things written about our church's beliefs were mostly wrong so she invited us back which I'm glad for.

We met a very sweet lady named Jennifer and she has been looking to have a good relationship with God and is very open to us teaching her. She cried during our first lesson. It was pretty cool.
I got to Virginia at 4pm on Monday, after having only a couple hours' sleep at the MTC Sunday night so it took till Saturday for me to get over the jet lag. So that wasn't super fun but it's still been good. Not gonna lie, I'm kinda disappointed that its P-Day because I just want to get out and work! But it lasts until 6 then we can go back to work.
I've only met two people here who like horses! Its depressing. I've also discovered that I really miss the dust from horses running around me.

Everyone here has dogs or cats instead of children. Most families have 2-5 kids. But 5 kids is a lot here.

It was Sister Ray's birthday on Sunday so we got a lot of people to come to church by telling them it was her birthday so they had to come for her. It worked quite well.
Anyways, gotta run.

Later! Sister Creager
