Whatever

Hello all! This week has been pretty busy and a little strange. So our mission president is usually pretty hard on everyone which I don't mind but the AP's (assistant's to the president) are also really hard on everyone. I am not their biggest fan. But this week, both the president and the AP's have been strangely nice to our companionship and it is the weirdest thing. Elder Pay asked to join one of our lessons which we were nervous for because Sister Lloyd and Sister Johnson are greenie breaking each other in and then you have me and I haven't even finished my training and they are trying to help me finish my training! Not stressful at all... So for whatever reason Sister Johnson told him he could join a lesson. The lesson he joined was with our friend Katie. Katie is amazing. We have been teaching her for two weeks and Elder Pay joined the lesson with her on Tuesday. And hoooolllyyyyy cow it was such a good lesson! She was crying because of the spirit and we put her on date! Elder pay actually teared up. It was so cool! Then Elder Pay called us later that day and asked us to do a demo video for the rest of the mission to watch...Needless to say, we kind of wish we had failed that lesson. We are a little surprised that we didn't fail because we are all so new.  But we are still working on recording a role play situation for the mission. We have had a scenario change two times. But on the bright side, we are learning how to become better missionaries.

We haven't been able to go outside much because we have so many lessons and contacts that we are doing, so we go a little crazy sometimes. We got in contact with one of our favorite families again and set up a lesson for tomorrow!! We are really excited about that. We also have a baptism this coming Saturday for our friend Gaby. Gaby is really sweet. She asked if I would play the piano so I need to start practicing again. But we are so excited for her!!

In order to cope with being inside we get a little silly. I also like to collapse on the grass and you know how you put a piece of grass between your thumbs and blow then it whistles? Yeah it's fun. Ummm I think that explains all the pictures.

Transfer In a Transfer

Hello all! So this week, Sister Pugmire and I got a call that said she was going home and I was moving to the area next door. We had that night to pack and had to be ready to leave by 8:45am the next day. It was sad because I have loved working with her. My new companions are Sister Lloyd and Sister Johnson. They are greenie breaking each other, finishing training me, and just got put in as the new STL's for our zone. So my area, Lake Ridge One, and their area, Woodbridge 2, got combined and we have been sooo busy because they are also in charge of the YSA ward too. So altogether we have 2 and a half areas. But it's been fun. They are really fun to be with and we play lots of games during our breaks so we don't go crazy.
We have goals for how many of our friends we can have Sunday services with and we barely made our goals by the skin of our teeth. It was sooo close and our zone hasn't done very well so the AP's have been on us a lot. But we did it! We were exhausted by the end of the day.
So when we moved me out of the last apartment, I told my new comps that they were free to bring what ever they wanted and we ended up taking a lot more than we were going too. We packed the car so much that Sister Lloyd had the kitchen stools in her face. It was sooo packed. But it was funny!
I've been really bad at taking pictures this week because it's boring in an apt all day every day so sorry for the lack of pictures. We can be a little weird in the pictures.

Marshmallow Roast

Hello! So we have a friend her name is Elaine. Elaine is almost 87 and she got baptized this year. So we had her join in on a lesson because she counts as a member and hoolllyyy cow. It was soooo funny! We asked her how she was doing and with our investigator on the phone she said "Well you know, I've got a beer in one hand and a smoke in the other." She let our friend know she was just kidding but we were shaking our heads at her. We then asked her to say the prayer. I won't explain most of the prayer because she kind of has a dirty mind but the clean jist of it was that she told God she was glad he kept her in line and when she finished, she said in the name of Jesus Christ, Elaine. We had to put the phone on mute because Sister Pugmire and I DIED laughing. Other than the immoral jokes she made every few minutes, the lesson went well and believe it or not we, at some points, did have the spirit there! So that was fun.

It has been really nice outside so we've been taking walks and this week we found a dead turtle. I wanted to bring it back with us but Sister Pugmire wouldn't let me touch it. I was a little disappointed.
We have mini marshmallows and I wanted to roast them so I made my own way of roasting them because I was bored. Sister Pugmire joined me in roasting her sausage. I wish we could build an actual fire but people here frown on that.

As much as I love trees, I have realized that I love open space more. I don't like that you can't see the sun rise or set so because we are on the 4th floor I discovered if I shove my face  against the window, I can see the sun rise in the morning. And it's sooo pretty!
I got a violin! My fingers and arms are sooooo out of shape though because I was only able to play it for a few hours before my arm hurt and my fingers ached. But it was still fun. However, I can only play church songs or hymns so we will see how fast my companion gets annoyed with Savior Redeemer and a few others.  I know classical music better than hymns.
I have very successfully avoided institute for 4 years. But guess what they started doing every Friday now? Institute Book of Mormon class! It's actually fun and I like it. But I don't think we will get any credits for taking it on our missions. But that's okay. I don't have much else to say but hope y'all are staying safe and healthy!

Quarantine Day 937

Hello! So this week we got so bored we went through pictures and made memes. I hope you kind of enjoy those. Sister Pugmire has the best facial expressions.
This last week has been making me go crazy. I can't STAND being inside. Ugh it kills me. So feeling pretty desparate, I decided to pray that I could get access to a violin because I love music and it is a way for me to let the crazy out. I talked to my mom who posted on facebook the next day and within three days, I got a violin! I can only play it on P-days but I am sooooooooooooooo excited. Prayers are definitely answered even if they are random and hard to fulfill.

So our mission had to send a lot of missionaries home due to high health risk and we won't be getting any new missionaries for a while which is sad. Some of the missionaries don't want to leave at all and our President is literally having to drag them out to put them on a plane home.

General conference was awesome!!!!! I loved it all. My district made "Conference predictions" and Sister Pugmire and Elder Prince were the only ones who didn't get overly hyped and make sporadic predictions. Turned out they were right! They didn't say anything about missionaries! Haha but that's okay.

So as missionaries, we have to watch videos called the safety zone. Thanks to my mom, me and my comp (who was in the shower at the time of the picture) got safety zone t-shirts! If you haven't ever watched the safety zone, do it because it is sooooo obnoxiously funny. I can't stand those videos. They are on gospel library so watch them. I hate them.
Sister Pugmire's mom sent us perler beads so I made a cow and she attempted a unicorn.
I think that's all that's been going on. I have a violin to play so I will catch y'all later!
